What is Sexual Assault?
Sexual contact gained through force, coercion, trickery, or
manipulation.
It is illegal to talk someone into having sex.
It is illegal to use drugs or alcohol to gain someone's consent.
Someone who is intoxicated is rendered incapable of giving consent to
a variety of things: admission to a hospital, signing certain documents, and having sexual
intercourse.
The difference between sexual assault and harassment is physical
contact.
Some forms of abuse include: incest, unwanted touching of breast or
genitals, sex with a minor, obscene phone calls, exhibitionism.
One form of sexual abuse is not necessarily more painful to
experience than another. The feelings of victimization can be felt by someone who
experiences any form of sexual abuse.
Emotional Abuse
Forms of abuse include: Insults, put - downs, ridicule, jealousy, not
listening.
Physical Abuse
Forms of abuse include: grabbing, looming over a person, beating,
spitting, and slapping
